You can delete your Gainix account and everything stored in it at any time. There are two ways, and the second one works even if you have already uninstalled the app.
Option 1 — In the app
Open Profile → Delete Account and confirm.
This happens immediately and cannot be undone. Your account and all of the data listed below are erased the moment you confirm. There is no waiting period, no recovery window, and no way for us or for you to restore the account afterwards.
Option 2 — By email
Use this if you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or would simply prefer we do it.
Or write to [email protected] yourself.
Send it from the email address registered on your account. That is how we confirm the request is genuinely yours. We cannot action a request sent from a different address, because we would have no way to tell that it came from the account holder — and deleting the wrong person's data is not a mistake we can reverse.
You do not need to explain why. "Please delete my account" is enough.
What happens next
- We reply to confirm we have received your request.
- We delete your account and all of the data listed below.
- We email you to confirm it is done.
We complete deletion within 30 days of receiving your request, and usually much sooner. Requests go to a mailbox monitored by the Gainix team.
What gets deleted
Everything we hold about you. Specifically:
- Your account — name, email address, language preference, and subscription tier.
- Your body and fitness profile — age, height, weight, gender, activity level, goal, food preferences, and the calorie and macronutrient targets calculated from them.
- Health information you recorded — medical conditions, injuries, allergies, dietary rules, food dislikes, and any free-text notes attached to them.
- Everything you logged — meals, workouts, daily logs, body measurements and check-ins.
- Your plans — nutrition and workout plans, and your adherence history.
- Usage records — the interaction records we keep to diagnose problems.
- Your notification token, if you enabled reminders.
What we keep
Your account and everything listed above are gone. There is one exception, and we would rather be plain about it.
Foods you contributed to the shared catalogue stay in it. If you added a food that our reviewers published, that entry and the nutrition-label photograph you attached remain available to everyone — but they are no longer connected to you, to your name, or to any account.
We keep them because other people's plans and meal histories point at those foods. A food that vanished when its contributor left would break the records of everyone who had eaten it.
Food submissions still awaiting review when you delete your account are removed with it.
Apart from that, we do not retain a copy of your account and we do not keep backups of deleted accounts for later use.
If a law ever required us to retain a specific record, we would keep only what that law requires and only for as long as it requires — and we would say so here. There is nothing of that kind today: Gainix does not process payments, so there are no financial records to retain.
If you change your mind
A deleted account cannot be restored, and neither can the data in it. You are welcome to create a new account at any time, but it will start empty — your previous logs, plans and history are gone for good.
